GDFL Players Association

The GDFL is proud to introduce the GDFL Player Association (GDFLPA). The player association has many benefits tied to it that will be explained on the this page but also plays a valuable role in the GDFL as well. The Player Association gives the players in the GDFL a voice in their league. We care about what players think and built the association as a way for the players to communicate suggestions, vote on issues, and participate in league programs.

As a player it is mandatory to belong to the Player Association and the cost is a small one time fee of $5. Without joining the GDFLPA you will not be eligible to participate as a member of a GDFL team. This is to ensure that rosters and roster cut off dates are being followed. By doing this the league is ensuring that a team is not getting players from week to week to play specific teams. We know this happens in other leagues and it simply isn’t professional.

So that explains one of the main reasons behind the GDFLPA, some of the many benefits you get as a player by belonging to the association.
