The GDFL is proud to introduce the GDFL Player Association (GDFLPA). The player association has many benefits tied to it that will be explained on the this page but also plays a valuable role in the GDFL as well. The Player Association gives the players in the GDFL a voice in their league. We care about what players think and built the association as a way for the players to communicate suggestions, vote on issues, and participate in league programs.

As a player it is mandatory to belong to the Player Association and the cost is a small one time fee of $35.00 Without joining the GDFLPA you will not be eligible to participate as a member of a GDFL team. This is to ensure that rosters and roster cut off dates are being followed. By doing this the league is ensuring that all players are insured and teams are not getting players from week to week to play specific teams. We know this happens in other leagues and it simply isn’t professional.

So that explains two of the main reasons behind the GDFLPA, some of the many benefits you get as a player by belonging to the association.

Description:

The GDFLPA was created to promote our athletes, provide benefit opportunities, and offer a direct line of communication from the league to the players. Pro Bowl incentives, player bios, stats recording, and access to GDFLPA members discount program.

GDFL now has an individual medical plan required by all players to participate in the Gridiron Developmental Football League. This plan is also available to any team or league staff member. The cost of this plan is $19 for the entire year! It carries a $10,000 accident medical and $5,000 AD&D policy. The safety and security of all Players staff members and League administrators is our #1priority in the GDFL. This cost is included in the $35 membership fee. The policy is also available for all sideline personnel , field officials, coaches and staff members.

Overview:

$35.00 Annual Fee is a One time fee that covers the Following (Paid by Player)

1. $19.00 Annual Fee Covers for entire Season ( for $10,000 Accidental Medical Benefit and $5,000 AD&D Benefit)

7. GDFLPA Tee-Shirt-The Players Association Tee Shirt will be issued the weekend of the Gridiron Pro Bowl/National Championship Weekend. The Gridiron players Association tee will be your access pass to the VIP Hospitality tent and other events.Must be present to receive Tee-shirt if not attending player is responsible for shipping and handling of any merchandise that is purchased from the player benefits program.

Restrictions:

Because our Web site has implemented the Instant Payment Notification (IPN) system, which allows enrollment to be allowed immediately after paying the Membership fee, without any exception we have a NO REFUND policy.
